Cloé Bertrand is yoga professor, designs guided meditations, organizes yoga festivals and writes a blog. We caught up with this busy bee to get to know this yogi from Montpellier a little bit better.

Who are your heroes?

Elena Brower: she is so authentic, so attentive and available! I absolutely love her. Her teaching style resonates a deep echo in me. I also just read Jeff Brown’s post and I would love to attend one of his classes. Thus said, I also like everyone who is quite introspective, who is a life lover, authentic, and with good intentions! These qualities are very precious nowadays.

What do you appreciate the most in your friends?

Their authenticity, love, communication, bliss and their genuine smiles. I also appreciate the fact that they really like thinking and questioning themselves. We usually have astonishing, profound and true conversations.

When did your yoga adventure start?

I started in 2005 with Sivannanda in Paris. But I deeply fall in love with the discipline in Montreal (Canada) by practicing at the Sangha Studio.

What’s your favorite yoga pose?

I don’t have a favorite yoga pose. Above all I love to explore and to observe what happens with my senses, my feelings and my thoughts.

How did yoga became part of your life?

I needed to reconnect deeply with Me, Myself and I. It was crucial for me.

What does yoga bring you?

Self study. I learned how to control or more balance my reactions, emotions and fears. Yoga brought me a lot of self work that would have otherwise gone unnoticed.

Where do you teach? Since when? Which yoga style?

I’m a yoga teacher since 2013. I teach hatha flow yoga in Montpellier and I give yoga, meditation and coaching workshops in Paris and in the south of France. I have also designed guided meditations that are available on my website: www.cloebertrand.com.
