“Dream awake, be free, be happy, share love, believe in yourself, trust life’s mysterious flow each moment.

Who are your favorite heroes in real life?

My parents are my true heroes in life. From the start they supported my personality of curiosity for the unknown and allowed me to travel solo in my teens to gain life experience. I recently heard the story on how I was born in the United States.

My mother pregnant with yours truly, she arrived at the border of Northern Mexico, with a coyote by side demanding money, she refused, he offered a kiss, she laughed and rejected the proposal, she turned and swam across a river into southern California, she arrived at her brother a couple of hours later, traveled to the airport a week later and took a flight from California to New York. My father flew from Greece to New York to meet up with my Mom and boom I was born in Astoria, Queens.

Heroes in real life.

What do you appreciate the most in your friends?

I appreciate that we can have a heart-felt conversation even if we haven’t talked for weeks, months or years. Love is love regardless of time.

Since when do you practice yoga?

I started practicing in 2012 in San Diego, California at the Jade Dragon Yoga Shala with Master teacher Bradlee Frierott.

What is your favorite Yoga pose?

Headstand off the ground

Why did you come to yoga?

I started a 21 day Deepak Chopra meditation program online while living on a boat in the summer of 2012 in San Diego. After the program, I searched out centers for further development. I ended up meeting the director to a meditation center while at a Ymca, did my interview on the spot and moved into the meditation center the following week. Living in there provided an array of yoga styles to learn from. Interested in further development in Yoga, I connected with Bradlee and his Kula and the practice began.

What does yoga bring you?

It brings me confidence to overcome my fears, doubts and worries by accepting what is and letting go of what was.

What do you teach?

I teach the practice of being inspired by the moment, to connect to the child spirit and play. I share Acro Yoga, AyFit and Yoga as tools to expressing this message. I started teaching in 2013 in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico.
I now teach in Asia, Europe, Mexico and Africa…Soon.
